On 10-26-2009 the Alliance Police Department Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at 1105 N. Walnut Apt.1 Alliance. The search warrant was the result of an investigation into tips the SIU received that the apartment was being used to manufacture methamphetamine.
During the execution of the search warrant officers located numerous chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine including pseudoephedrine packets, ammonium sulphate, lithium batteries, sulfuric acid, camping fuel, and peeled lithium batteries.
Also recovered were two vessels filled with chemicals that had been used to manufacture methamphetamine and several hypodermic needles.
Due to the hazards associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine, a private company that specializes in the dismantling and the disposal of clandestine meth labs was sent by the DEA.
Arrested were Robert Pinkerton 41, and Richard Myers 45. They were both charged with, Illegal Manufacture Of Drugs F-1, Illegal Possession Of Chemicals For The Manufacture Of Drugs F-2, and Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments M-1.
Both men are being held at the Stark County Jail after failing to post a bond of $200,000.00.
