The Alliance Police Department currently employs 37 full-time police officers. We also employ 2 part time officers and 5 auxiliary (volunteer) officers.

The City of Alliance does NOT allow lateral entry into the police department at this time.
Full-Time Job Benefits:
- 40 hours employment per week
- Starting wage is currently $23.81 hr
- 1.5 times regular rate for more than 8 hrs in day or 40 hours in week (overtime)

The hiring process consists of the following stages.
- Civil Service Examination - written only (bonus given for military, college, part-time, basic academy)
- Background check
- Interview
- Physical examination
- Psychological examination
- Voice-Stress examination
- Final Interview
