MEDIA RELEASE Top Ten Most Wanted Arrest – “Tenya Goosby” On 01-06-10, at approximately 10:30 AM, officers of the Alliance Police Department arrested one of the Alliance Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives (#3) in Mount Storm, WV – Tenya Goosby (age 33) The arrest came after the Alliance Police Department received several tips via our website tip form that Goosby was living at an unknown location in West Virginia. Patrolman Anthony Palozzi and Detective Donald Wensel voluntarily followed up with the information and after a thorough investigation were able to track down Goosby’s location in West Virginia. At 3AM officers Palozzi, Wensel and Weyer left Alliance and drove to West Virginia and met up with Grant and Mineral County Deputies to attempt to locate and serve the arrest warrant. A very surprised Goosby was apprehended where he resides at Abram’s Creek Lodge and Campground in Mount Storm, WV. Goosby, who has a lengthy criminal record, has been a fugitive since 2006 after an alleged burglary that occurred at 766 S Seneca Ave on 03-15-06. In that incident he allegedly broke into a residence and pointed a handgun at the resident. Goosby allegedly threatened the victim before fleeing. The initial report and investigation was handled by Ptl Aaron Perkins – who sought the warrant for Goosby. Goosby is also wanted by the Alliance Municipal Court for Fines and Cost on a traffic case (Driving Under Suspension) from 2000 that he still owes on. He also has warrants for his arrest out of the Perry Township Police Department for an OVI in 2007 and a warrant out of Columbiana County for Failure to Pay Child Support issued in April of 2009. Goosby will be held on $102,500 bond (doubled since he lives outside the county). He had an extradition hearing in WV today and is being brought back to Alliance tonight before being transported to the Stark County Jail. He will be arraigned at the Alliance Municipal Court on Friday at 1PM.
